What is Ashwagandha?Updated 12 days ago
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera Dunal) is one of the most important herbs of Ayurveda, traditional medicine in India. Within Indian medicine, the herb has been known for centuries. However, with the publication of a number of clinical studies endorsing the action of ashwagandha, the root-based extract is now receiving worldwide attention.
KSM-66® uses only the roots of the ashwagandha plant for its extract, with no leaves added. Many producers choose to include leaves in their extract, as these are only a fraction of the cost of the roots, about one-fifteenth. KSM-66® has also won several awards.
